Changes to the distribution of disposable containers from 1 May 2025

New legislation will introduce changes to single-use packaging from 1 May 2025 in order to reduce waste across Lithuania. These changes will also apply to Zalgirio Arena.

Under the new law, each single-use plastic container will be subject to a €0.10 packaging fee. This includes containers for snacks, hot and cold drinks and cocktails - with or without lids.

Do you want to avoid packaging tax? Choose a reusable cup (available for €5) at the point of sale.

You can bring the cup with you to your next event. For your safety, the cup should be:

• Purchased from Zalgirio Arena.
• Clean - no drink residue or sediment. We will not wash or clean cups, we will replace a used cup with a clean one.
• In good condition - no cracks or damage.
